Malaysian Chevrolet dealer Naza Quest Sdn Bhd showed that the introduction of the Chevrolet Orlando MPV with 7 seats in Malaysia in the second half of 2011. The Chevrolet Orlando is based on the chassis of the Chevrolet Cruze, with a longer wheelbase of 2,760 mm, built much like the Honda Stream, Toyota Wish and the C-segment platforms derivatives.

While most of its competitors are quite rounded and curvy, the Chevrolet Orlando stands out in its segment with its American style buff angular design – very much like a box!

Globally, three different engines are available with the Orlando – a 141 PS 1.8 liter petrol engine similar to the one found in the Cruze as well as two 2.0 liter turbodiesel engines in two different tunes – 130 PS or 163 PS. There’s also a large 2.4 liter petrol engine for North America. Naza Quest did not say which engine options they are bringing in – a diesel would definitely be nice!

Naza confident selling 25 Ferrari this year

NAZA Italia Sdn Bhd is confident of selling 25 Ferrari units this year, with the bulk of the contribution coming from the newly launched California model.

Its group executive chairman and chief executive officer SM Faisal SM Nasimuddin said the company had secured seven orders for the California model with the first delivery expected within this month.

"We are positive the Ferrari California will be the preferred model for new Ferrari owners," he told reporters at the the launch of the new Ferrari model in Petaling Jaya today.

The new model, with a price tag starting from RM1.7 million, joined Ferrari's eight-cylinder range which is made up mostly of high performance cars, SM Faisal said.

The automotive industry is improving as market sentiment is better than end of last year," he said, adding that many customers had started asking about the new model.

The California model's engine has a total displacement of 4,300cc and a maximum power output of 460hp/338kW at 7,750rpm. It takes less than four seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and is able to deliver a blistering 310km/h top speed.
